The building that now houses the Hotel Alte Post was built in 1409 and served as municipal stables for a while. Later, stagecoaches carrying mail and paying passengers stopped at the Thurn-and-Taxis post station to rest and change horses. The post station continued operations until 1865, but to this day, the tradition of hospitality continues as the Hotel Alte Post offers a unique home away from home for business travelers and vacationers.

Our jams are real culinary creations (apricots-rosemary or black currants and lemon peppermint). Breakfast is available from 7:00 am, but we also offer an early breakfast if you have to leave before 6:00 am.
